Sweeping Methods

Rotary Power Sweeping

Power Sweeping (Rotary Systems)
How it works: Flexible rods are attached to a drill or rotary power head; the spinning brush or whip head scrubs the flue.
Best for: Stoves, liners, twin-wall systems, tarred flues, and stubborn deposits.

Traditional Manual Sweep

Traditional Rod & Brush Method
How it works: A series of interlocking rods with a brush head is pushed up (or pulled down) the chimney.
Best for: Open fires, stoves, and most domestic flues.

Viper

🔧 What the Viper Method Is
It uses a continuous nylon rod or coil (normally 10–20m wound on a reel) rather than separate screw-together rods.
At the working end you attach the appropriate brush head (nylon, steel, whip, or chain depending on the flue type).
The sweep pushes and pulls the rod up and down the flue while feeding more line from the reel as needed.
